Create User.java and School.java in the existing package net.gongmingqm10.sketch I got the error while I try to use import School in User.java. What crime would be illegal to uncover in medieval Europe? The problem exists with IDEA 11 Ultimate also. For some reason, this was not properly executed when I first opened the project and rebuilding/re-importing did not help, so the files were never generated.

My initial impressions of IntelliJ IDEA are that, I need to force myself to enjoy using it. Instead, open up the Gradle Tool pane, then click the synchronize (refresh) button. Did you change the dependencies in the gradle file without syncing intellij? IDEA takes javac as de-facto standard and behaves in the same way.
