I did do the firmware update on the phone with Belkin after the Talk Talk conversation though... Apple Stores don't do repairs to Wi-Fi antennas. It worked on my other two devices, just not on my iphone. Now boot your iPad. They're a bit more expensive than the other routers you'll find on Amazon, but may be worth paying more to avoid any more headaches.
After posting this question I went back to my iPad and turned on wireless and selected my network. After several seconds it asked for my password and darned if it didn't connect.
