Don't think its the hard drive. Booted up off my Acronis Disk Director rescure CD and it reports "Failed to read from the sector 0 of the hard disk 0" and flags that partition with a cross. But I'd like to access the data on partition 1 too, and this is where I need some advice/assitance. Dban The drive is still one physical drive, and you want to copy every sector from that one physical drive to a different physical drive. Why would a SATA & an IDE drive exibit a problem at about the same time? Whilst it would be nice to boot from that drive again in order to run the settings and transfer wizard, it is by no means essential.
